R User Group at the University of St. Gallen aims at the further education of students and interested parties in the fields of Data Science and Machine Learning with a special focus on the practical application of the R programming language.
Tutoring Sessions
Learn more about useful applications of R within data science, visualization and machine learning. Teaching activities include everything from introductions to R for beginners to more advanced tutorials, but also guidance on how to write research papers (for instance your thesis) in RMarkdown.
Coding Competitions
Compete against fellow students in challenging coding competitions. Such project activities involve community coding sessions with a pre-defined focus, for instance on data visualisation or hands-on machine learning.
Speaker Events
Gain real-world insights from experienced data scientists and companies. Our club seeks contact with organizations and individuals with an affiliation to data science for events in which they will share their insights, tips, and tricks.
